Below are the steps in the typical Estate Planning process:
- Initial consultation with us to ask questions and determine if you would like us to serve your Estate Planning needs.
- We will then send or email you questionnaires that help us to gather information about you and your circumstances.
- You fill out the forms and return them with the required retainer for services.
- We will then review the questionnaires and contact you to discuss your estate planning goals and to determine what kind of Estate Planning tools to use in order to accomplish your goals.
- We then prepare the initial draft of your Estate Plan and send it to you for review.
- Once received by you, we will discuss the documents and make any necessary changes or additions.
- We will then send you the completed Estate Plan so that you can have it properly signed.
- Once signed, you will send us a complete copy of the signed Estate Plan for our files and we will assist in transferring any property or assets into your new Trust. We will also advise you on the disposition of your other current and future assets.
- We will provide you with access to the Client Only section of our web site so that you have 24 hour access to valuable forms, documents, information and new laws that may effect your estate planning goals. You will also be able to contact us in the future if you have any questions or concerns.
- From beginning to end, the Estate Planning process can take as little as 2 weeks or longer depending on how quickly we can gather the necessary information from you.
